Liminal Space

I caught myself. Going down the rabbit hole of thoughts that were trying to convince me I haven’t changed. Flashes of past experiences. Of past relationships. Of familiar patterns. “Remember when you thought this would be the thing that changed everything!!!”

You know that taunting voice inside our heads that baits us with dangling carrots of the past. That wants us to believe no matter how much inner work we do, we are always going to be in the same place. That nothing ever really changes.

But I knew better. I have become so close to the edge so many times before that this little facade wasn’t going to work on me. In fact, I know I am different now because I caught it quicker.

When you walk along the spiritual path, there will be times when you want to give up. Times when that voice will win. Times when you breakdown, and you feel like nothing is “working.”

This is all part of your divine path. There’s a term I’ve just discovered through @lalahdelia called, ‘liminal space’ which is to be on the precipice of something new but not quite there yet. And this space is incredibly uncomfortable because while it looks like there’s no evidence of change, internally, you feel differently. You know it’s all drama. You have grown smarter to how the mind works in relationship with your Soul for your expansion.

When the voice inside your head doesn’t stop talking, it’s trying to distract you from a higher truth. The key is to get curious, not mad. The further you go, the more subtle these things get. Just keep going. The path to becoming more of YOU is so so worth it!
